LAGOS SUBEB DELIVERS MODERN CLASSROOM BLOCKS TO SEVEN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

In its bid to make qualitative and quantitative Basic Education accessible to Lagosians, newly constructed modern classroom blocks were recently delivered by the Lagos State government to seven Primary Schools spread across the State.

Speaking at the handing-over ceremony, the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board Executive Chairman, Dr. Ganiyu Oluremi Sopeyin, represented by Mrs. Olabimpe Carrena – member, SUBEB Board – enjoined all parties involved in Basic Education to adhere strictly to their roles in order to get the best dividends.

According to him, “Education remains the only legacy we can bequeath to our children which cannot be taken away from them”.

He described pupils as the livewire for the growth and development of any Nation, adding that Basic Education involves not only the Government but the Parents, Teachers, Pupils and other stakeholders.

Sopeyin said SUBEB would continue to work hard in order to move the sector forward by providing accessible and quantitative education in a conducive atmosphere for the students.

He stated that the Agency would not relent in its collaborative efforts to improve the standard of Education in the State, in addition to maintaining the facilities.

The beneficiaries of the new classroom blocks and other facilities include Anglican Primary School Odo-Ogun, Kosofe; Methodist Primary School, Gberigbe, Ikorodu; L. A. Primary School, Orile Iganmu, Surulere, Anglican Primary School, Ajebo, Epe and Navy Town Primary School, Amuwo
