ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE: LASG CONSTITUTES IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE

The Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Adeniji Kazeem, has constituted a 10-Member Blueprint Implementation Committee headed by Mr. Fola Arthur-Worrey, a former Solicitor-General in the State, to deliberate on the recommendations of the communique issued at the 2-Day Law Summit held last month in Lagos.

The inauguration of the committee is part of the resolve of the present administration to improve Justice delivery system and administration in the State as well as a follow up on the recommendations of the communique delivered at the State 2017 Stakeholders’ Summit on Administration of Justice.

Speaking at the occasion, the Attorney-General explained that following the 2017 Stakeholders Summit on Administration of Justice, several recommendations were proposed, hence the need for a committee to strategize and design an outline for implementing the recommendations.

According to the Attorney General, the terms of reference of the committee are: to consider and review the recommendations of the communiqué; formulate a roadmap for implementing the recommendations and make critical analysis of the practicability of the recommendations.

Responding on behalf of the committee members, Mr. Arthur-Worrey thanked the Commissioner for the opportunity to serve, while pledging to judiciously carry out the task in order to contribute their quota to the development of the Justice delivery system in the State.

Other members of the committee include; Mrs Kehinde Taiwo, Mr Rotimi Seriki, Mrs T.Olatokan, Mr Gbenga Olatunji, Mr Supo Olaibi, Mr Yomi Okunu, Mr Dotun Oduwobi, Mr Yomi Okunnu, Mrs Joyce Oduah and CSP Effiong Asuquo.
