MRS AMBODE DECLARES LTV 32ND CHRISTMAS FAIR OPEN

ltv-2… URGES CHILDREN TO EXEMPLIFY CHRIST-LIKE VIRTUES

In keeping with the yearly tradition of offering unlimited fun to Lagosians, especially children, during Christmas celebration period, the wife of the Lagos State Governor, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode has declared open the 32nd edition of the Lagos Television Christmas funfair, admonishing would-be participants at the fair to imbue the Godly virtues as exemplified by Christ throughout the season and beyond.

Bolanle Ambode said the yearly event represents the sustenance of a worthy legacy that has outlived its founding fathers, adding that “This idea has continued to grow, creating the ambiance for family-oriented entertainment and relaxation during the yuletide”.

The First Lady said that children who are future leaders of the country need to imbibe virtues that would distinguish them among their peers and also bring pride to their respective societies.

“As we celebrate the birth of Christ, I urge the children to emulate the meekness, simplicity and holiness of Jesus Christ, who rose from a very humble birth in a manger, to become the savior of the world”, she added.

Mrs. Ambode underscored the resilient spirit displayed by Christ even in the midst of adversity, stressing that same attributes of humility and commitment should be demonstrated by children in achieving their various legitimate goals.

She assured participants at the Fair that the next twenty days would be fun-packed, as there would be lots of attractions and gifts from the Santa Claus in his grotto, urging parents to spare a thought for other children who do not have anyone to cater for them by extending the hand of generosity to them during the yuletide season.

In his remarks, the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde said that the Fair corroborates several other entertainment related series of the present administration in the State, adding that Governor Ambode places high premium on entertainment as a form of relaxation for the citizenry.

According to him, “This informed the hosting of the One Lagos Fiesta in the last week of 2015, the flying of the Lagos Corner at the 50th edition of the Nottinghill Carnival in London in August, the active participation of the State at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada in September, the Lagos Jazz festival and a host of others”.

He said for the fact that the 32nd edition of the yearly fun fair of LTV coincidentally comes after the very successful hosting of the Lagos Street Party by the State Government, further accentuates the status of Lagos as the entertainment hub of Africa.

Ayorinde added that the Christmas Fair would also afford children and parents the opportunity to see some of their music and film Stars live on stage as well as make TV requests to family, friends and loved ones at the Fairground.

Most people will tell find out this you the truth but some few people will have their own hidden intentions and hide the truth from you.
