LAGOS HoS PLEDGES SUPPORT TO ONDO STATE ON PUBLIC PROCUREMENT AGENCY INITIATIVE

Lagos State Head of Service, Mrs Olabowale Ademola has expressed the State Government’s willing to support the Ondo State Government in her drive and determination to establish its Public Procurement Agency.
Ademola stated this today in her Office while welcoming a delegation of the Ondo State House of Assembly on a study visit to the State, in furtherance of the passage of its own Public Procurement Law.

 

The Head of Service noted that the study visit indeed underscores the need for regional integration and collaboration in order to further broaden and quicken the pace of development in the region.

Her words, “I will like to welcome you on behalf of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode to the State and to add that we are indeed humbled by your visit to Lagos State in order to understudy the working of our Public Procurement Agency.”

Mrs. Ademola pointed out that the visit would enable the team get familiar with the workings of the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency first hand which in turn will ensure the smooth implementation of same in Ondo State.

 

Earlier, the Deputy Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ogundeji Iroju who led the team explained that the visit would enable them learn from Lagos State with a view to replicating same in their State given that Lagos State is the forerunner in Public Procurement administration in Nigeria.
