The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board Executive Chairman, Dr Ganiyu Oluremi Sopeyin has flagged-off the Year 2017 LSUBEB Health Week at the SUBEB Maryland Office Complex.

He described the week as an important and unique opportunity for the staff to discover their health status, stressing that health is wealth and a healthy workforce is the one that can deliver.

Dr. Sopeyin stated that the Lagos State Governor was providing the wherewithal for its workforce to function at the optimal level in order to deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of the State.

While assuring the workforce of the cooperation of the Board at all times, he stated that the Board’s commitment to transform, uplift and provide qualitative education which is accessible to the people would not be compromised.

Earlier in her address, the Board Secretary, Mrs. Abosede Adelaja expressed appreciation on behalf of staff to the Board.

According to her, the staff would, in turn, reciprocate the good gesture by taking full advantage of the opportunities the health week has to offer including free cervical, prostrate, eyes, H.I.V and sugar level tests.

She disclosed that the recent transformation being witnessed in LSUBEB was due to the dynamic leadership style of Dr. Ganiyu Oluremi Sopeyin who has an unquestionable passion for Basic Education in the State.

The health week would end on Saturday 13th of May, 2017 with a walk for life from LSUBEB, Maryland Office to Ikeja, back to the Office.
