OLIC2017: OLAMIDE, OTHERS COMMEND LASG SUPPORT FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

Ace Artist, Olamide and many of his counterparts in the entertainment industry in Nigeria have commended Lagos State government for its unwavering support and commitment to using the industry as a springboard to promote tourism and attract investment into the sector.

Olamide gave the commendation at the venue of the Concert tagged “Olamide Live in Lagos” held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere over the weekend.

Speaking at the show sponsored by the Lagos State government, the artiste, Olamide Adedeji disclosed that the success story of Lagos is incomplete without entertainment and the State government under Governor Akinwunmi Ambode-led administration has been an inspiration to the success of the industry in Nigeria in just over two years.

The ace rapper stated that the Governor has been an apostle of creativity and ingenuity, adding that many music artists were able to find their feet in the industry because of the ambience of positivity created over the years by the State government.

Other music artists present at the concert also expressed their admiration for the State government, saying that the success of the OLIC 2017 and the prominence the entertainment business has been enjoying in recent times can be attributed to the enormous support and initiatives of Lagos State government.

They chorused that the State government does not only support them financially but provide adequate security, emergency services, sanitation and efficient traffic management for their various creative and tourism-related shows.

While expressing their enthusiasm, the delighted Lagosians at the concert applauded the State government for promoting the event which has projected the city as a haven of hospitality.

Among the renowned Artists that performed at the show were Small Doctor, Tiwa Savage, Phyno, Reminiscence, Lil Kesh, Woli Arole, Daddy Showki, Olu Maintain, Klever J, Solid Star, Terry G and host of others.

The Olamide Live in Concert, the 4th in the series and the first to be held in a public space, was attended by a huge audience of diverse social groups and age groups, including top government functionaries.
