NEW AIDE PROMISES TO DELIVER ON MANDATE
The newly sworn in Special Adviser on Communities and Communications in the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, Mr. Akeem Omoyele Sulaimon has sought for support from the Management and Staff for effective service delivery to the various communities across the State.
He stated this on assumption of duty at the State Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs on Monday after being sworn-in by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
Sulaimon said that “Being a grassroots politician, I am ready to mobilise people at the grassroots so as to deliver on my mandate and involve them in the State Government‘s developmental projects and plans”.
He appealed to the Community Development Associations (CDAs), Community Leaders and members of the various Communities’ Media Practitioners to team up with him to ensure continuity of projecting government programmes and activities within various communities across the State.
Earlier in his address, the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Mr. Muslim Folami stated that the appointment of Mr. Akeem Sulaimon will promote the development of our communities and the inclusive governance policy thrust of the present Administration.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Fola Padonu assured the Special Adviser of the Ministry’s support and commitment to achieving and discharging his duties to the State.
