ISOLO GENERAL HOSPITAL EMERGES BEST IN PERFORMANCE

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris has commended the Medical Director of Isolo General Hospital, Dr. Godwin Akhabhoa for leading other general hospitals in Lagos in the recent performance assessment of all the General Hospitals in the State.

The letter of commendation signed by the Commissioner read in part, “In recognition of your facility’s satisfactory performance as evidenced by the scorecard presented for your facility and being one of the only two facilities to score above 60 percent average your leadership skills are indeed worthy of commendation”.

The document listed some of the indices used for the assessment to include: Client Satisfaction where the hospital scored 70 percent; Staff Welfare 70 percent; Data Management 75 percent; Inventory Management 75 percent, Financial Management 65 percent and Governance 65 percent among others.

The Commissioner, therefore, urged the Chief Medical Director to maintain the tempo and culture of good performance.

Meanwhile, the Isolo General Hospital has taken delivery of its share of the N2.5b Health Equipment which the Lagos State Government procured for all General Hospitals in the quest to boost the secondary healthcare system in the State.

Some of the 52 different pieces of health equipment received by the hospital include Standing Digital BP machines, Dental X-ray Machine and Neonatal Incubator, A & B Scan Machine; CTG Machine and Manual BP Machines among others.
