ACQUIRE SOFT SKILLS FOR EASE OF DOING BUSINESS – AMBODE

The Lagos State Commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pensions, Dr. Akintola Benson-Oke has urged Directors in the State Public Service to acquire soft skills for ease of doing business.

The Commissioner stated this today while declaring open a two-day workshop tagged “Building Values and Sound Human Relations Skills in Lagos State Civil Service”.

According to him, “Possession of soft skills remains the greatest attribute any candidate can have at this present age of technology to contribute to the growth, efficiency and effectiveness of organisations such as the Lagos State Civil Service”.

He explained that in order to keep the workforce blazing in success, soft skills are personal attributes each staff must have to aid their service delivery and ensure a harmonious relationship with the people.

Benson-Oke expressed optimism that such training will better equip them to be at par with their counterparts in the private sector and the world at large.

Speaking earlier, Director Training, Mr. Ayodeji Aruna urged participants to be attentive, network and cascade the knowledge acquired to others in their different Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
