OWORO RESIDENTS COMMEND LASG FOR IMPROVED WATER SUPPLY, METERING PROGRAMME

The residents of Oworonshoki community have commended the Lagos State Government for improved water supply and commencement of the water metering program by Lagos Water Corporation (LWC).

The Oloworo of Oworonshoki, His Royal Highness, Oba Bashir Oloruntoyin Soliu, (Elebo I) gave the commendation today on behalf of the community at a meeting with the management team of Lagos Water Corporation, led by the Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Muminu Adekunle Badmus over the billing complaints by the residents.

While commending the Corporation for improved water supply to the area and environs, Oba Bashir declared that Water Metering is a good initiative to conserve water and ensure that residents pay for actual water used.

According to him, “Oworonshoki residents now enjoy uninterrupted potable Water supply, which cannot be compared to contaminated borehole water”.

He, however, urged LWC to fast-track installation of meters within the community, noting that the system is a welcome initiative that will enable residents to promptly pay their water bills when due.

In his remarks, Engr. Badmus thanked the Oloworo for using his position to bring resolution to the residents’ complaints, affirming that the Corporation is always ready to listen to the complaints of its customers and resolve issues amicably.
