LASRRA TO EMBARK ON PUBLIC SENSITIZATION, MASS REGISTRATION IN IKORODU
Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) is set to embark on Public Enlightenment/Sensitization and mass registration of residents in Ikorodu division of the State between Friday 11th – 13th May 2018.
Speaking on Traffic Radio 96.1 FM, the General Manager of the Agency, Mrs. Olukemi Adelusi disclosed that the public enlightenment campaign will begin with a visit to some paramount rulers in the division such as Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Sekumade of Ipakodu and Oba of Igbogbo Kingdom to solicit the Royal Fathers’ support to mobilise their subjects and residents for the exercise.
The General Manager further disclosed that LASRRA team is taking its campaign to all Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas of Ikorodu – Ikorodu LGA, Ikorodu North LCDA, Ijede LCDA, Igbogbo LCDA, Imota LCDA and all wards to register residents.
Mrs. Adelusi, however, advised Residents who have registered to pick their Permanent Voter Cards at their Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas of registration as many cards are ready for pick up.
She reiterated the determination of the Agency to create a reliable database of all Residents in Lagos State in order to provide Government with necessary data and information that will accelerate development of infrastructure for residents across the State.
Mrs. Adelusi re-emphasized that registration is still going on at all Local Government Councils, LCDAs and LASRRA Head Office at No 4, Registration Close off Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja.
