LAGOS SET FOR STATE SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP

A three-day Open Swimming Championship for Secondary Schools sponsored by the Lagos State Sports Commission and organised by the Lagos State Swimming Association will hold from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th May 2018 at the National Stadium Swimming Pool, Surulere, Lagos.

The Championship which is open to all students in Public and Private Secondary Schools in Lagos State is in two categories; Junior Secondary School (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS).

According to the Executive Chairman of the Sports Commission, Dr. Kweku Adedayo Tandoh, the competition is being organised to discover and nurture swimming talents within the State.

He stated further that outstanding swimmers at the games will be selected to represent the State at the National Youth Games coming up in September 2018.

At the end of the tournament, prizes will be given to first, second and third place winners and certificates of participation issued to all contestants.
