LWC BEGINS REPAIR OF WATER LEAKAGE ALONG OYINGBO-IDDO MOTORWAY

The Lagos Water Corporation on Saturday commenced the repairs of leakage on the 600mm diameter water pipe located between Oyingbo – Iddo Motorway.

 

According to a statement released by the Office the Corporation’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Muminu Adekunle Badmus, the repair works being embarked upon will ease traffic movement in the area and prevent congestion during the impending closure of the Third Mainland Bridge for repairs.

 

He said that officers of the Nigeria Police, Lagos State Transportation Management Authority (LASTMA) and other Traffic Officers would be available during the repair work to control traffic and assist motorists plying the road until the job is completed on or before Tuesday 24th July, 2018.

 

Badmus also disclosed that some parts of Lagos Island, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Surulere, Yaba and Ebute Metta may experience a disruption in Water supply during the period.

 

He, therefore, solicited the understanding of consumers in the affected areas for any inconveniences and assured the general public of steady water supply afterwards as the Corporation is working relentlessly serve to them better.
