ALIMOSHO GH HOLDS WORKSHOP FOR THE KICK-OFF OF LAGOS STATE HEALTH SCHEME
As part of the preparation for the kick-off of the Lagos State Health Scheme, the Alimosho General Hospital, Igando has organised an interactive session for its personnel.
Speaking at the workshop, the Medical Director, Alimosho General Hospital, Dr. Madewa Adebajo stated that the planned Lagos State Health Scheme targeted at Lagosians, especially civil servants is subsidised by the State Government which would contribute 75% of N 40,000 of the annual charge of the health scheme for a family of six while the worker pays the balance.
He explained that all hospitals in the State are part of this initiative at ensuring that adequate medical aid is accessible at affordable charges for the citizenry of the State, hence, it is imperative for the health workers to improve their service delivery in order to retain the patronage of patients.
While imploring them to adhere strictly to the hospital’s policy in the discharge of their duties, Adebajo sought the understanding of members of Staff to ensure the smooth running of operations and enjoined them to be more dedicated to work.
He said, “In spite of unavoidable constrictions at living up to charge, staff welfare still remains an optimal reality targeted at excellent servitude with the hope of fostering a continuum of remarkable conscientiousness amongst members of Staff”.
Meanwhile, health workers have also been urged to engage in exercise and sporting activities as a part of the activities that will help improve the health of all residents in the State.
Dr. Madewa, while declaring open a sporting event within the Alimosho General Hospital, Igando said that sporting activity is very important for humans, especially healthcare workers who are expected to practice what they preach.
He said medical practitioners are expected to, through involvement in various activities, keep away from their constant sitting positions and be sportive in order to foster the effectiveness of the cardiovascular system, as well as the other organs of the body.
