LAGOS TRAFFIC RADIO, LASTMA COLLABORATE TO ELIMINATE TRAFFIC GRIDLOCK

 Lagos Traffic Radio has taken another step in minimising traffic gridlock by seeking collaboration with the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

General Manager, Lagos Traffic Radio Mr. Eyitayo Akanle, during a recent courtesy visit to LASTMA Head Office in Oshodi, reiterated the need for a synergy of the two agencies to alleviate the gridlock on Lagos roads.

Akanle said that the collaboration was necessary in order to broaden the dissemination of traffic information on all modes of transportation and curb unnecessary gridlock, noting that announcement of traffic updates will be intensified while flight, railway schedules as well as shipping positions are also broadcast intermittently.

In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of LASTMA, Chris Olakpe said the collaboration of the two agencies will continue to minimise the prevailing traffic congestions on our roads, affirming that Traffic Radio has become a formidable source of inspiration to members of the public.

Olakpe commended the Radio Station and LASTMA officials who have worked in unison in providing information for traffic management and appealed to the motoring public to treat LASTMA personnel with respect.
