LAGOS SET TO MARK WORLD BOOK DAY     

 The Lagos State Library Board, in collaboration with iRead Mobile Library Network, is set to organise a workshop in commemoration of the 2019 World Book Day with the theme: “The World We Want”, on Thursday, 7th March, 2019 at the Adeyemi-Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja.

According to a release by the Board, the event will be graced by 1,200 students drawn from 100 Public and Private Secondary Schools in the State and will feature the first African Literary Awards for children.

The statement said further that the workshop will also showcase participants’ talents and literacy skills as readers, writers, speakers, artists, poets, dramatists and illustrators.

While noting that the event is a demonstration of the State’s commitment towards progressive education and overall students’ intellectual development, the release disclosed that Mr. Olufela Bank-Olemoh, Special Adviser to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Education will be the Chief host, while the District Governor,  Rotary International, District  9110 will be Special Guest of Honour.
