LASPPPA HOLDS SENT-FORTH CEREMONY FOR RETIRING STAFF

The General Manager, Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Agency (LASPPA), Tpl Olufunmilayo  Osifuye has commended the five retiring staff of the Agency for faithfully discharging their duties with honesty and integrity, and for quality service delivery over the years without blemish.

Speaking at a send-off ceremony organised by the Authority for retiring Officers at its Head Office in Ikeja, Osifuye advised those still in active service to emulate the dedication and commitment of the retiring staff to ensure that they also retire after a successful career with their integrity intact.

Osifuye said that it had become expedient for the government to improve civil servants’ orientation that retirement was not a death sentence, urging public officers to be mentally prepared for retirement while they must also ensure prudent spending after their exit from the civil service.

The General Manager declared the State Government was committed to improving the requisite skills, knowledge and welfare of her workforce and the internalisation of acceptable best global practices in its public service.

Mrs. Aina Ebunoluwa, who represented the Office of the Head of Service enjoined the retirees to deploy the enormous wealth of experience at their disposal into entrepreneurship and also advised they continue their post-retirement life as honest, straightforward and upright people.

Responding on behalf of other retiring staff, Tpl. Adesina Akin Olagoke thanked the State Government for the opportunity given him to serve and advised serving officers to continue to work hard and embrace best practices.
